I hit a curb in November. It screwed up my wheelbearing which was replaced in April. I stalled on repairs because the noise gradually got worse from the bearing and I was unaware of what it was. What made me take it to a shop was the wheel locked up at 20 mph in traffic on the highway. After replacing, it was good for a few weeks and then started to lock up again. What it does is after 10 or so minutes of driving, it will start to lurch and catch, and make a loud screech before it decides to lock up. Return to shop, they insist it isn't a dud bearing. They say the caliper hose was twisted. Take car home, and it wants to lock more often than before. I returned the next day, and that it may be the caliper locking up (which they said it may be before, and to return if untwisting the hose doesn't help). That is being replaced right now, but I am worried I am getting jacked by the shop.
