SERVICE

Battery

AMOUNT PAID

$275.66
by Donna from Millbrae, CA 94030

Was a bit worried at first because the new battery that he was putting in was a bit bigger than the one he was taking out...but he showed me that the platform that the battery sits on would accommodate the bigger battery, and ensured that it would not move around. So he installed...and everything worked fine.

SERVICE

Thermostat

AMOUNT PAID

$228.00
by Abhishek from Sunnyvale, CA 94087

I called Khoa to replace my thermostat since my 2003 beetle was throwing a code for cooling performance (P2181). Khoa came on time, changed the thermostat and also reset the code for me. I would definitively recommend him to anyone.

Super knowledgeable. Very thorough. Being someone that knows very little about cars, he was nice enough to dumb it down and break it down for me to understand the problems with my car. Great customer service!

SERVICE

Brake System Inspection

AMOUNT PAID

$70.00
by Jonathan from Sacramento, CA 95816

Rodney arrived on time for the appointment and was able to diagnose the problem with my car almost immediately. He delved deeper into the area the problem was just to make sure, and his initial diagnosis was correct. He was very friendly and capable, and I look forward to booking his services for any car troubles I have in the future.

John was great! He arrived early and had everything needed to replace the terminal on my battery. He got my car up and running even though doing so requires a few creative modifications. I would definitely book him again. Thanks, John!

by Thomas from SF, CA 94118

John was very forthcoming and put in a lot a extra work. Including on working on Saturday where he normally is off. All this because YourMechanic screwed up the parts order twice!

Very pleasant after he arrived but appt was 8 am and I finally had service at shortly after 3 pm. Sprayed brakes so they do not make a sound now but will see after they dry. Bid for oil and filter change was very high compared to my usual rate at VW. I'll try again when need arises to see how it all "shakes out".

by George from Sacramento, CA 95823

He was on time and very personable. He took the time to answer all my questions and I would highly recommend him.

Answers to common Volkswagen questions

Why does my motor go from running to just dead?
Answered by Jay
There are no recalls or technical service bulletins (TSB) for the stalling while driving complaint, however there have been other owners who've had similar drivability issues. The fuel pump relay may have an intermittent open circuit, causing you to lose...
Tires that came from the factory are not good at all
Answered by Jay
The tires which came with your vehicle should not have had problems with sidewalls cracking or blowing out. I would recommend having the tires checked by the manufacturer for issues or defects which may be covered. To find replacement tires,...
Suspension up front makes a ton of noise, creaks
Answered by Jay
The front suspension has many moving parts which could cause the noise you describe. The most likely cause is the sway bar links binding. They can be inspected by turning the suspension steering and bouncing the car up and down,...
Sagging headliner coming off the ceiling, looks awful
Answered by Jay
The headliner is a piece of material with a foam backing which is glued to the roof of the interior. The glue used by Volkswagen to adhere the headliner does not hold up very well, causing the material and foam...
