As always, Michael was great. He shoots straight about what needs immediate attention and what can wait. That allows me to make well informed decisions and not have to come up with a big chunk of money at one time. When he showed up to fix my water pump that needed "immediate attention" recommended by another mechanic while having some recall work done, he didn't see the problem diagnosed by that dealership. I said he couldn't justify doing work on something that wasn't broken. I keep using Michael as often as possible because he has proven to be trustworthy. That's something I can't say of all mechanics.

I wanted a professional opinion about a used car I was going to purchase. Tried YourMechanic because I needed a someone quick. Made appointment with Michael Straub in the Alpharetta, GA area. He arrived a little early (after calling first) and began looking at my car. It didn't take him very long because it was a 2016 Toyota from CarMax and they sell quality cars. What I liked most was the ability to speak face-to-face and ask questions about the car like where the transmission fluid dipstick was; as it turns out, most new cars have a sealed transmission system so there is no user entry point. He even told me about the different types of transmission services and which ones to avoid. Seems like, to get a proper service, they need a $20,000 machine that sucks ALL the fluid out so everything gets replaced with fresh. He was very informative and easy to talk to; encouraged questions. Would definitely recommend his services and will ask for him in the future. He is a true nugget of gold in the car repair business!
