Showed up to replace ABS sensor which another technician said was my problem but after inspection showed me the other technician was wrong and my axle was actually cracked and needed to be replaced and he went out of his way to drive to escondido from san diego to get the part I needed and replaced it quick and easy and now theres no more ABS light on my dash all within an hour. Very professional and explains exactly and shows exactly whats going on.

Answers to common Mercury Capri questions

Q: Engine overheating - 1994 Mercury Capri
Answered by Robert
Hello. I usually start by checking to see if the thermostat (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/thermostat-replacement) is opening as it should and see if the engine cooling fan is functioning. If the fan is not turning on, then that needs to be repaired. If...
Q: Difficulty starting. Shuts off soon after starting - 1994 Mercury Capri
Answered by Robert
Hello. This can be caused by a number of things. The fuel pressure needs to be tested first. Though there appears to be plenty of fuel it needs to reach a specific pressure. If the engine has spark and fuel...
Q: Charging system issue - 1991 Mercury Capri
Answered by Robert
Hello. It sounds like you have a bad connection. If the alternator is fine, then the negative battery connections should be checked. It is common for negative ground connections to become loose or corroded which will cause this. If those...
Q: Coolant loss - 1991 Mercury Capri

Hello. When this occurs I usually do a block test first. Most of the time when there is a loss of coolant and there are no external leaks it is because there is a blown head gasket. A small leak...

Trusted by thousands of happy car owners

David was knowledgeable, professional and thorough. I will have David do all my future car repairs.

I can't say enough about how pleased I am that I found YourMechanic and Raul. I'm from out of town and didn't know who to contact to fix a truck I was borrowing. I searched the web and found YourMechanic.....thank goodness. I found Raul to be professional, an outstanding mechanic and the price was more than fair.

Stephen was very professional and spoke to me in terms that I understood. Although the news about the car was not great, he explained the why's and what it would take to fix it. I will call on him again. Many thanks!
