Q: why truck stalls when turning.just replace the battery

asked by on

replace battery and now the truck stalls when turning

My car has 145368 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi there, Whenever the battery is disconnected the idle learn strategy of the computer is reset to factory new. If you have a dirty throttle body and idle control valve and injectors then it may take a few days to relearn the idle to match the engine needs. I recommend going through an idle learn to let your computer learn the idle it needs to stay running. This is done by warming the engine and then let it idle in drive with a/c off for a few minutes and with a/c on medium blower speeds in drive for a few minutes. Then road test to see if it stays running. If still a problem then have the dirty items listed cleaned and relearn idle again.
