Q: When I am stopped my car starts shaking badly, the light dim and the rpm gage goes up and down. It feels like the car will stall

asked by on September 09, 2017

It is fine when I'm in motion but when I stop it shakes bad and the rpm gage goes crazy up and down. There is no noises except the shaking and something sounds rough at idle. It sounds/feels like the car is not getting enough of something during idle. It feels like it's going to stall, the lights dim. Once I'm moving again it stops but I think if I had to stop long enough the car would stall

My car has 230000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
