What does the Malfunction Warning light mean?
The Malfunction Warning light is located on the instrument panel, and is connected to your emissions system. When your vehicle’s emissions are not as expected, the Malfunction Warning light will illuminate. The light will also come on if the system detects that one of the engine’s cylinders is not firing correctly. Tip Like all warning lights, the Malfunction Warning light briefly illuminates when the car is first turned on. The light is only a problem if it stays lit when the engine is turned on.
