Q: What brand of filter

asked by on

Which brand of filter & oil shall i use

My car has 101739 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi there:

One of the better oil filter brands made today is offered by Wix Filters; especially for "larger" four-cylinder engines like your G6 has. This motor is recommended to use a 5w20 conventional, synthetic blend or full synthetic oil. The brand of oil is typically not as important as the need to have the oil and filter changed as recommended by the manufacturer (at least every 5,000 miles). Personally, I prefer Lucas Oil, Pennzoil and Quaker State for everyday use cars.
