Q: Want to swap an engine.

asked by on March 03, 2017

Will an v8 engine from a 2002 lincol ls fit in my 2004 lincoln ls which also had a v8?

My car has 190000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

The engine will fit, but the engine in the 2002 does not have the Variable Valve Timing System. You will need to swap the cylinder heads over to the other engine to make the VVT system function in your vehicle. If you need further assistance with swapping your engine, then seek out a professional, such as one from Your Mechanic, to help you.
