Q: Throttle body needs aligning.

asked by on January 13, 2016

I replaced my throttle body. Now, my car won't start. I believe my new throttle body needs an alignment using a VAG COM diagnostic system.

Yes, on your vehicle the throttle body does require a relearn procedure after replacement. You do indeed need the factory scan tool, or a scan tool with factory capabilities. Have the experts at YourMechanic a call, they have a wide array of scan tools that can be of help to you.
