Throttle actuator is closed shut Mechanic's Assistant: What is the make/model/year of your car? 2013 Ford f 150 Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far? Just looked at the throttle actuator Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? It's closed can't move it

Can't move it by handIt also beeps
Automotive Expert
why are you trying to move it by hand ?

Not hard..just checkedIs it not supposed to move?
Automotive Expert
you have an electronic throttle body so an electric motor moves it when you hit the gas . you should not try to push it by hand or you can mess it up

Truck had a dead battery by leaving lights on..thats how this started..is there something else
Automotive Expert
I dont know what you are trying to fix ? the throttle body should not be moving by hand

But a friend put the code reader and it said throttle stuck closedThrottle actuator
Automotive Expert
then it may have a bad throttle body

Okit's called throttle body?Would that cause it not to start?
Automotive Expert
yes , it can cause a no start

Anyway of fixing it..to get it unstuck..possibly dirty?
