Q: Sugar in gas tank.

Hello. I am so sorry to hear that this has occurred, as it can be a very expensive repair. If the vehicle has not been ran since this occurred then the fuel tank needs to be removed and cleaned. If it has been ran and is not longer functioning then the problem is going to be more serious. Most of the time this will require that the tank be removed and cleaned, and the fuel pump replaced. I would typically then clean out all of the fuel lines and have the fuel injectors bench cleaned. Hopefully the injectors did not fail also because of this, but most of the time they do. This can be a very expensive repair. If you are not comfortable doing this type of repair, then you should enlist the help of a certified mechanic, like one from YourMechanic, to inspect the damaged parts that are contaminated.
