Q: Stuck in second gear

asked by on

The car is stuck in second gear, and the service engine light is on.

A: The vehicle speed sensor may be malfunction...

The vehicle speed sensor may be malfunctioning and causing the transmission not to shift. The computer will need to have the codes retrieved. I recommend that you have a mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, come and test the vehicle for you. They will be able to diagnose your gear shifting issue and recommend the appropriate repairs.
