Q: Obd plug in on my 1995 won't read any on my Obd meter

asked by on

When I plug in my obd tester to my 1995 ford explore my tester can't link to it
My car has an automatic transmission.

OBD-II came out in late 1995 in some vehicles, and all vehicles from 1996 onwards. You may need to try an OBD-1 scan tool or try to obtain the codes another way. It is also possible that you have some kind of failure to the network it connects to. If you need help with this, consider having a certified technician, like one from YourMechanic, inspect the car for codes for you.
