Q: My truck will not shift into the final gear. What could it possibility be?

asked by on February 17, 2018

I have a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 with a v8 5.3l engine. My truck will not shift into the final gear before overdrive. We just replaced the solenoid that a mechanic told us that should fix the problem but it didn't fix the problem. This is our only working vehicle and I need to know what to do to fix the problem. How do I fix this?

My car has 244000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
