Hi there. As long as you are not impeded by any negative side effects and you feel it is safe to steer your vehicle, you should be ok to continue driving your Hyundai until your appointment. Thanks for writing in to ask!

Hello, and thank you for writing in. With the EPS (electric power steering) warning light on, the computer has detected an issue with the system. Your particular system does not utilize gears and fluid in the same way traditional power steering systems do. That can mean the issue is something as simple as a dirty electrical connection, a bad sensor, or as severe as complete system failure. The severity of the issue is best judged by you. Are you having any issues with the power steering? Has steering become harder, jerky, or is the system making any strange noises? If not, then the vehicle is likely okay to drive for short reasonable distances. Keep in mind, the issue can worsen and develop into something that can leave you stranded. This is of course a major safety concern.

Noise when turning to the left

It's difficult to say without inspecting the vehicle firsthand just what the noise is. A worn or damaged wheel bearing will make a rotational growling noise that often gets worse when turning. To check for a bad wheel bearing, lift...

The bearing will have to be replaced. I recommend having a reputable transmission handle this repair. I also suggest having the clutch and pressure plate replaced while they are in there.

My car stalls at idle; the battery is good, so is it the alternator?

Random misfire cylinder 123

I'm curious as to what codes are still active. Is it still a misfire code? Several other component failures can cause "misfire" issues - a clogged exhaust gas recirculation valve, a failed diverter valve, even a failed cam phaser. But...

Power steering fluid leak

There are a few more parts to check for leaks: There are two lines leaving the pump. There are other hoses to check, and the steering gear can leak from several places. If you would like to have your power...
