Q: My buddies GM 4.3 liter just had the ignition modal replaced but now it runs and upon acceleration it sputters and backfires.
My buddies GM truck 4.3 liter wouldn't start and after checking spark found that the ignition modual needed to be replaced. Now truck starts but after roughly 1/4-1/2 mile it will sputter and back fire while accelerating upon deacceleration issue goes away. Is this a timing issue or another indication that the replacement modual is bad?
