Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the level of your transmission fluid? Is it bright red, or is it dirty? Its still bright red but thats because I just put a coupled courts and their of transmission fluid because it was low Mechanic's Assistant: What is the make/model/year of your transmissions? It's a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee at Laredo 4.0 V6 Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Grand Cherokee yourself? What have you tried so far? I have not tried fixing it myself since it happened only thing I've done on it was a oil change a couple weeks ago this reverse problem just happened last night Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? Thank you Daniel. If the transmission fluid is clean and full, the next step would be to drop the transmission pan and check/inspect for any excess debris or broken internal parts that may be sitting in pan. If any is found it will indicate an internal transmission issue which will require removal and inspection for further damage. If no debris is found, then it could be a wiring or electrical issue that could be causing the issue that you’re experiencing. Faulty shift solenoid, power supply issue, or transmission sensor or switch that needs replacement. At that point, it may be best to take to a transmission shop for further inspection and a complete diagnoses. If you have not done so already, you could use a scan tool to access the computer on board the vehicle using the data link connector and check for stored codes, pending codes, history and current codes. Sometimes there are codes in the computer system related to the transmission that will not illuminate the check engine light but will assist with the transmission diagnosis and repair you are experiencing. Glad I can help. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks and have a great day!

Thank you , you have a nice dayy also! I'll drop the pan &, check & will get back to you later today
