Q: Issue is location of Suspension Compressor and ability to change it at my location considering weather. I don't have a garage.

asked by on July 27, 2017

My suspension compressor has been diagnosed as non-working. My issue concerns the location of the compressor (Near Driver's side rear wheel) and a mechanic's ability to change it considering the weather conditions. I don't have a garage; only a carport. Before I schedule service to have a new one installed, I would like some assurance that the compressor can be accessed if a mechanic comes to my location.

My car has 202000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Timing chain bad?
You may need to replace the tensioner (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/drive-belt-tensioner-replacement), timing chain (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/timing-chain-replacement), and guides for the timing chain itself. Firstly, I would recommend having the oil pressure checked to make sure it is within specifications. The tensioner and guides may be...
