Q: Issue is location of Suspension Compressor and ability to change it at my location considering weather. I don't have a garage.

asked by on

My suspension compressor has been diagnosed as non-working. My issue concerns the location of the compressor (Near Driver's side rear wheel) and a mechanic's ability to change it considering the weather conditions. I don't have a garage; only a carport. Before I schedule service to have a new one installed, I would like some assurance that the compressor can be accessed if a mechanic comes to my location.

My car has 202000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

It shouldn’t be a problem to replace the compressor in your carport. Your technician will be equipped with the necessary jacks and stands to access the underside of the car. If you have any misgivings about whether it can be done, you can discuss that personally with the technician while you are making arrangements for the visit. Just contact Your Mechanic to set up an appointment to have your suspension compressor changed right there on the spot.
