Q: Ignition interlock problem

asked by on

There is an intermittent problem starting the car and going from Park and back into Park. Or I have to shake the gearshift to get it to start.

Hello. The neutral safety switch allows you to start the car while its in park or in neutral. This is likely the cause of this problem. It is also a possibility that there is a problem with your shifter. You should have a diagnosis of your shifters to have this issue addressed correctly.
