Q: i have just installed a led light kit

i have just installes a led light kit , do i leave the low beam cover open or just close it as usual when installing normal lights

My car has 123000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Without knowing which kit was used and how it was installed I will answer this the best I can. With any electrical parts, the most common failures are due to heat and corrosion. Any wiring should be sealed as close to factory as possible to avoid early failures down the line.
