Q: I have a Peugeot 307 2007 convertable, all of a sudden the car starts reversing whilst in drive idle waiting for lights to change

asked by on January 17, 2018

My peugeot 307 kicks back and makes a jolt when putting foot on accelerator to 'take off' when sitting at lights, car also randomly starts reversing when taking off from lights when gear still in drive, yet everytime i try to accelerate in drive it reverses. I have to put hazards on in the middle of the road, turn car on and off a few times changing the gears hoping it will drive instead of reverse when in the 'drive gear'
My car has an automatic transmission.

This can be caused by an internal leaking seal or valve body inside the transmission. You should have the transmission tested for proper pressures and failure codes for a defective shift solenoids.
