Q: How do you reset the mileage gauge on the dashboard

asked by on

Changed battery and the mileage to go is not right

My car has 89000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

You should have a "select/reset" knob up in the right hand corner of your dash that will allow you to click and scroll through the various displays such as instant fuel economy, odometer, trip meter, outside temperature. Be sure the vehicle is in park when doing this. When you get to the fuel economy display, you should be able to hold the reset knob down for 3-5 seconds to reset. This should start the recalculation of the fuel mileage. If you need help or run into any issues, one of our mobile technicians would be happy to service your vehicle at your home or office.
