Honda pilot 2013 making "woodpecker" noise, while we are trying to charge the battery. The noise stops if push on the brake. What's causing the noise?
My car has a manual transmission.

Hello, thank you for writing in. The noise can be coming from a number of components, and locating the noise will be most beneficial. If it started when you were charging the battery, make sure battery charger was set to the right setting. There may be an issue with one of the electrical components such as the turn signal flasher, which is designed to make a similar noise. You may also want to check the brake lights and see if they were working while you were pressing the brake to stop the ticking. The noise must be happening to locate and find out what it was. If the noise has stopped since, there will be no real way of knowing what. If the noise is continuing to occur, and you would like more assistance locating it, contact our service department to schedule an appointment.
