Hello, I'd be happy to help you with this, and sorry to hear you're having this problem with the turbo. Do you have a scanner available? There are step by step diagnostics for this if we have a scanner that can read that boost pressure sensor/map sensor. We can check a few things without it but it would be much easier if you have one or a buddy has one you could borrow, or maybe even run to a parts store and use theirs for a minute.

I'll go ahead and send you the test procedure from GM for this code.

Well I replaced the new map with another new map, and the turbo is working. It is still dying after driving 2 blocks, I am not getting a code will look at pmd tomorrow.

Yeah, that's frustrating I know, been there. I would really check that harness going to the MAP, I've seen that look ok and then not actually be making a good connection inside the actual plastic connector. Monitoring that on the scan tool would help to check that as well. I hate telling people to run and get the scan tool but in this case it really is a lifesaver...haha.

Right, sometimes it will throw a pending code if it's not seeing it all the time, or it doesn't get to see it as long as it needs to, like when it's dying after 2 blocks, it's not getting warm enough to actually run it's diagnostics. Have you verified your wastegate actuator is moving freely?

Has it been hard to start also?

No starts great, idles fine. But dies after a block or two. If I turn it off and wait a minute it restarts, does the same thing.

Yes, a P0008 code (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/p0008-obd-ii-trouble-code-engine-positions-system-performance-bank-1-by-paul-lancette) is related to your engine's timing. More than likely, you need to have the timing chain (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/timing-chain-replacement) and/or tensioners (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/drive-belt-tensioner-replacement) replaced. If you would like to have this done or would like to have a...
After the tire is plugged, you can spray soapy water on the area to make sure the leak has actually stopped. Any air escaping will cause bubbles. Either situation whether driving on a plugged tire or spare (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/spare-tire-installation) for a...
Hi - given your mileage, and your high mileage, I suspect this engine knocking (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/noise-from-engine-or-exhaust-inspection) could be a problem caused by worn connecting rod or crankshaft bearings; possibly to the point of connecting rod failure. Your mention of light knocking...
If your test results for KD5 and KD7 are accurate, there is a short between the PCM and EGR stepper motor. Your readings indicate both a short to ground and power, so my guess is that the four wires inside...
