Q: Gas fumes in car

asked by on

I detect the smell of gasoline in my car. I need to get rid of this. I'm thinking I might need a new fuel line.

The fuel pump on your vehicle mounts underneath your back seat. From the fuel pump to the engine, the lines run along the underside of your car. The fuel pump and lines need to be inspected visually to verify where the fumes are coming from. A qualified technician, such as one from YourMechanic can assist you in diagnosis and repair.
