Q: Fuel tank

asked by on

Changed fuel pump, broke a pressure release valve, a blueish grey color. The car cranks but wont turn on. Went to AutoZone they say spray carb, if it starts, then it is the valve. Can I bypass this or can I get a new one and where

My car has 109 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

You should not try and fix or block the valve. This valve is important to the proper operation of the fuel pump and tank venting system. You should be able to get one from the dealer.
