My front passenger seat doesn't move backward.

Electrical components are not working Inspection $94.99 - $114.99 Get a Quote

Hi. If it moves forward, but not backwards, it is most likely the switch. A few simple checks with a test light can determine what it needs. Make sure there isn’t anything in the track preventing the movement. I’ve seen a coin jam up a seat before. If you need further assistance, I recommend you have a certified technician, like one from YourMechanic, inspect the electrical components and have any failing part replaced.

Replaced alternator and all was well. One day went to start the car and it made weird noise then shuttered and died. The belt doesn't seem lose.
Check the drive belt and see if it has a glaze to it. If so, then the drive belt (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/serpentine-drive-belt-replacement) is stretched and needs replaced. A drive belt has a life span of about 25K miles. Having 40K miles on...
