Hello, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* to just answer! I will be assisting you with all of your vehicle questions today. Give me one moment while I review your question and I will be right back with your answer, or I may need some additional information from you about your vehicle. The site will ask for a phone call not me so please disregard that thanks! What are the codes stored for the [engine](/topics-engine-ford/) light?

I don't have none
Automotive Expert
Ok so the engine light is not on and you scanned to see if there were any codes stotred?
Automotive Expert
Does it go into limp mode or is it [transmission](/topics-transmission-ford/) related?

Limp mode no fuel no power
Automotive Expert
You need a power stroke compatible code reader is that what you are using to get the codes?

I am using a mac co scanner
Automotive Expert
Yea that will not get the power stroke codes if there is any. Have you tried to disconnect the battery and see if the systems reset?

I have

Do me a favor check resistance at the pins on the VC gasket with a multimeter. They're arranged like this G G I I C I I G G G = glow plug feed I = Injector return C = Injector common feed. For the Glow plugs, put your meter ground probe on a good ground, then touch the other probe to the "G" terminals. You should see between 0.6 and 2 ohms on good glow plugs. If you get infinite resistance, either the UVC harness is loose or that GP is burnt out. To check injectors, put your ground probe on the C terminal and the other on each of the I terminals. You should get between 2 and 5 ohms for a good injector. If it's infinite, then most likely the UVC harness is loose.

I dont have that tool it will run for 5 to 8 miles then it loose power and the fuel bowl is half full leave cap off fuel bowl it will run rough but fuel not spilling out

Any chance there is air getting into the system that what it sounds like to me .

No I checked fuel system and check for leaks all connections and pressure tested
Automotive Expert
Ok Then we need to have that VC checked this can be the issue.

Do you mean valve covers
Automotive Expert
Sorry UVC (Under Valve Cover) harness coming loose

Ok I will check again I just replaced all thatWould that cause the bowl to be only half full
Automotive Expert
Yes it can . Usually thats an actual primer issue letting air into the system but if that checks out focus on the other items I stated.

Ok thank you
