Q: Driver's side window motor broken

asked by on

The driver's side window motor is broken in my car. I heard a crunching noise and now the window is stuck about a third of the way up.

Hello. That noise you heard is the cable in the window regulator binding up. The window motor and regulator will need to be replaced. The door panel will need to be removed to fix this. If you are looking to have this done, consider YourMechanic, as a certified mechanic can come to your home or office to replace your window motor and regulator for you.
