Hello, my name is Mark, welcome to just answer! I will be assisting you with all of your vehicle questions today. I’m really sorry that you’re having this issue and I’m going to help you through it, but please understand that I (respectfully) don't know your skill level or tools you have to assist us to diagnose/repair your vehicle. My aim is to give you the best service possible and to help you. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Sometimes it may take a moment for me to respond because I may have to look up information about your concern. I appreciate your patience and will provide responses as soon as possible. I would suggest using a scan tool to look at the desired line pressure versus the actual pressure so see if they are the same or not. Then using a mechanical guage I would check the actual line pressure to see if there may be an internal issue. If the line pressure checks out then this is just an electrical issue and I would suggest changing the solenoid pack.

sir. I'm a diesel mechanic. I ordered a snap on scanner and should be able to read line pressure but won't have scanner till next Monday because of weather. The solenoid pack is brand new with valve body. Paid 1500 for it and had 10m miles. I checked the voltage at the hydraulic pressure sensor and all checks out. I bought a dorman sensor to replace the stock but it didn't work but it's also dorman and I don't trust that it still isn't the sensor but dodge is closed today. So I can't get a mopar one. It was all of a sudden it was fine then boom started not wanting to shift. I burnt my old [clutches](/topics-clutch-dodge/) up and smoked the trans so I got it built and it's all billet now. Just all of a sudden having shifting issues. I am 90% sure it's electrical but I can't read pressures yet

Ok, well looks like you'll need to wait for the scanner to get some info.

sir. Would I still be able to contact you further at that time or no?

What can cause intermittent cold starting fault?
This may be related to a cold start enrichment problem which is generally controlled by the coolant temperature sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/coolant-temperature-switch-sensor-replacement).
