I have a 2015 Dodge charger 3.6. I was sitting at a Walgreens for an extended period of time while the car was in park and did not realize that my foot remained on the [brake](/topics-brake-dodge/) during this time. When I went to leave the vehicle I pushed the button to turn it off and then took my foot off of the brake. Close the door went into the store came back out and I cannot press the breakdown. in order to start the car with the push button you have to press the brake and push the button but I am unable to press the brake. I'm guessing that pushing the brake in has allowed hydraulic fluid to build up and now I have no give in the braking system. Is there some sort of release valve so that I can unscrew and allow the pressure to alleviate the system or is there another way to fix this? Mechanic's Assistant: Will the headlights turn on? Is the [battery](/topics-battery-dodge/) fully charged? I can get the car to turn on everything else except the engine. Radio Bluetooth the air even turns on Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Charger yourself? What have you tried so far? I am sitting up at a Walgreens unable to drive home. I have a trunk full of tools so I'm just trying to figure out if there is something that can be done in order to alleviate the pressure in the system Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? No, that about it

Welcome to JA my name is\*\*\*\*\* can sympathize with a vehicle that isn't working right, so I understand your frustration and would like to help. The website may offer you a phone call as well. This is an automated response and does not come from me personally, and is not necessary. Please ignore call requests. Have you tried using both feet on the brake pedal? None of what you did prior to leaving the vehicle will have any effect on the effort required to press on the brake pedal, and to answer you question, no, there is no sort of release valve or anything like that to help you out in this situation. It's possible that maybe you ran your battery down and that is why it won't start so try a jump start and see if that helps.

also while I was in the car parked at Walgreens, I was sitting in the car with the car running entire time and just didnt realize I had foot on break.

Alright, so the last part of my first reply was to try jump starting it. I think you have a weak battery.

I had the water pump replaced due to a leak. What would cause the engine to overheat now?
This can be caused by a number of things such as low coolant levels, a clogged radiator, or a failing coolant fan switch. As you may know, the coolant fan switch (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/cooling-fan-relay-replacement) helps to maintain the proper coolant temperature by...
