Q: D light indicator is blinking

D light indicator is blinking on dashboard

My car has 101000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello there, when the D light is blinking on the dashboard this means there is a transmission fault. Many different issues can cause this fault. The most common would be a low transmission fluid level, a mechanical transmission fault, a shift solenoid, or a pressure switch. In the case of any of these, the car should be inspected before it is driven further to check the condition of the transmission. If the vehicle is continued to be driven without the fault resolved, transmission damage can result. I recommend having a qualified technician, such as one from YourMechanic, diagnose the Warning Light and determining what repairs are required.

Q: Car will turn over but won't start?

The most common cause of no start on these vehicles is the ignition components inside the distributor causing no spark or sensor reading to computer. Most times replacing the distributor fixes the problem of no spark.
