Good Afternoon
Is the check engine light on ? If so i would check and see what the codes are first.
If not , i would look for a vacuum leak causing the engine to idle to high .

Look around the intake manifold for , make sure the boot from the air cleaner to the intake is tight . You can spray around the intake manifold with carb cleaner to find vacuum leaks

it idles high but then has a weird feeling when I pressed in the clutch, catches perfectly fine but then sounds like it's over revving when I start to accelerate slightly and then when I go to shift to second again it completely catches just fine but when I let go of the clutch it sounds as if I accelerated more even though I didn't.Has a whole new engine and clutch kit and tires. All replaced within the last year.But I had been hearing this click noise when the car would move forward sometimes. Just one click

Check that high idle first and see what you can find .
