Q: I could fit 31 gallons in y tank on every Filip in my work truck. I was rear ended a few weeks ago and now it only fits 24 gallons

asked by on December 05, 2017

I have always been able to fit 32 gallons in my work truck when I fill up. I was rear ended a couple weeks ago and now it will only fill 24 gallons?

My car has 211000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

You first should look under vehicle to see if the fuel tank was damaged during the accident? If it was then the damaged may have caused the problem. If the tank and frame around the tank was not damaged then you may have damaged the fuel level sensor in the tank on the pump and it is not indicating proper fuel levels and you think the fuel is lower than it really is.

Can you put a black light in the dome light of a Mercedes? 2009 Mercedes C300
HI there - short answer is "No", there are no black light bulbs which will replace standard automotive 12 volt sockets. Black lights are a form of fluorescent bulbs, which require transformers, and come as a "long tube" bulb. Custom...
Just changed my o2 sensor and my engine is still jerking while idling, and jolting while driving, what now?
You may be having a vacuum leak or another problem that is causing the O2 sensor to measure a lean condition. This would account for the rough running engine at idle. Have engine checked for a vacuum leak or leaks...
I have a new battery. Have gas. Have oil.. It started up but cut off and won't start back up. Its turning over but wont start
If the engine cranks at adequate RPM, be sure there is adequate fuel in the fuel tank and that the fuel is not old. Download any OBD-II trouble codes that have been stored and examine those codes for diagnostic clues....
