have you verified the fan is working ok ?

The fan is connected to the crank shaft
Automotive Expert
I understand that but is it working ok ? it should accelerate in speed if you accelerate as well and fan speed speed up, with vehicle off there should be some resistance when spinning by hand if it freely spins the fan clutch is bad

Oh yes it has regular resistance. What else do u thinkHello
Automotive Expert
you will need to check for a blown [head gasket](/topics-head-gasket-chevy/) next use the test from autozone you can rent

What does the [water pump](/topics-water-pump/) test consist of
Automotive Expert
there really is no test for that, you would want to pull it and check the fins if they are in order its good you should be able to see the coolant moving in the reservoir when accelerating as well

Yea with the cap off before it Completely warms up you can see it moving in the reservoirWhen the coolant lines come out and go in the [heater core](/topics-heater-core-chevy/) it branches off and goes along the inside of the frame to the back of the vehicle where is it going
Automotive Expert
that one im not sure on I would need to follow the house to the source to verify that

Window motor broken
If your window motor is not engaging, it is likely that the motor has gone bad. It is also possible that the switch has gone bad, unless the window also rolls down, which would indicate that the switch is likely...
My car over heated
The first thing to do is to remove the serpentine belt off the engine and see if you feel the water pump pulley move around and if it does not turn very good. The water pump may be bad. Try...
Possible booster needed - 1996 Lexus LX450
A "normal" brake job only addresses wearing parts like brake pads and rotors (or brake shoes and drums on drum brake vehicles). The brake booster rarely fails, and then usually because the brake master cylinder has allowed brake fluid to...
ignition control module keeps failing
This could be either the ignition control module or the ECM which gives direction to the ignition control module. I would start by checking the power supply to the ignition control module to see if it is receiving any power...
Driving with the parking brake on
Hi, thanks for writing in. As long as your brakes feel fine, I would say there is no immediate need to replace anything. It would be a good idea to have a mechanic check to make sure nothing is damaged...
P0171 and P0174 codes
For one, these codes are for a lean condition and are not O2 sensor specific codes. It is true that some of the newer Fords have an issue with the purge valve staying on, putting a vacuum on the system...
I can hear a rattling noise under my hood close to the outside of the motor
Hey there. I would not expect anything in or around the oil pan itself to make rattling noises that might be considered musical. Heat shields for exhaust manifolds and other metal brackets and shielding can make lots of rattling noises,...
How are transmission cooling lines disconnected on the radiator?
Hi there. The lines that attach to the radiator are either connected by a threaded pipe fitting or a compression type pipe fitting. The compression type fitting will need to be pushed in before removing the line. If you need...
I'm hearing a whining noise from the front of the car.
Hi There, Generally speaking there are two things that can make a whining sound under the hood that would depend on the belt and the speed at which it turns. The alternator (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/alternator-replacement) will tend to make a whining noise...
