Q: Car smoking

asked by on October 02, 2017

So I was driving home one day and my car started smoking a lot from the hood and more when I got home. Then someone test drives the car and the car starts overheating and smoking and they pull to the side and they see the coolant completely leaked, they put water in the coolant and the car will crank but not turn on. Could it be the timing belt or bad engine?

My car has 128000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Engine turns over good but won't start what might be the problem? It misfired one time and hasn't started since.
Your engine requires spark, air, and fuel to start and run properly. Air is almost always present so that leaves spark and fuel. I would recommend a shift linkage inspection to determine what parts to order (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/car-does-not-shift-from-park-to-drive-inspection) by a mobile, professional mechanic, such as one...
