This morning I cleared the snow and ice from the windshield and accidently turned on the wipers. They stuck at a 45 degree angle. then I was able to move to 90 degrees or perpendicular with the hood. they are stuck in that position. Occasionally they will twitch back and forth every 10 minutes. Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the fuses? Do you know if there is power to the wiper motor? There should be power to wipers because they twitch every 10 minutes. They move about a half inch in either direction. Mechanic's Assistant: What is the make/model/year of your car? 2011 Camry base model Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Camry yourself? What have you tried so far? I haven't tried anything yet. It is currently 15 degrees and snowing. I was looking at possible solutions so that when I went outside I had an idea of what to look for. Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? I don't know.

Hello and thank you for using JustAnswer. My name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will do my best to assist you.. I help many customers, so sometimes my replies are delayed, I will respond once available. During this conversation you will be given an automated offer for a phone call. You may accept or decline that offer.I don’t personally offer this service so if you take this another tech may call. Your going to need to access the wiper linkage, if its ok the and the motor is getting power with switch on replace motor. heres directions on how to and diagram for reference https://www.dropbox.com/s/l60pyzfszne3g4v/sat4.pdf?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/oj42fg8085wfegl/sat5.pdf?dl=0

Thank you Shawn. The problem was less serious than I had thought. Once I had lifted the hood it broke more of the ice that had built up and that freed the wiper arms at the base. The wipers work normally now.
