Was doing a radiator replacement, got everything done as said to be done, as I thought. Once completed, I did a second look through to make sure I didn't miss anything looks as if I didn't clamp properly but the lower hose that connects to the radiator came undone and now i cant get to it to put it back on. So I tried to start from scratch well now the radiotr fan shroud cover won't come the radiator block. Mechanic's Assistant: Has the car been overheating? Have you noticed any leaks? Yes there was a leak from the bottom right of radiator and when I removed the old one notice 2 small holes Mechanic's Assistant: What is the make/model/year of your car? 2008 Chrysler Pacifica Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Pacifica yourself? What have you tried so far? I was fixing it myself and was able to take the old one out. Bought a new one, sorta used. Installed it and then when I notice the lower hose came undone is when I ran into my new problems. Juat having a hard time reinstall Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? Thats pretty much it

OK, I attached a couple of pictures for you. Do you mean you cannot get the fans to seat correctly on the radiator? As far as the lower hose, did you try from the bottom to get to the hose? That is the easiest way to access it. Can you upload some pictures of what you see? Roy

No I can't get fans to come off the new radiator again. So I can replace the radiator again and put the hose on that way

I tried to pull it off and tried to hammer it out. Stuck

I know once you release the top bolts, the fans lift up and out of the radiator itself. What is preventing you from attaching the hose in the car from the bottom? I have never had to remove the fans for this operation. Roy

The bolts are removed thats the kicker. It just ont slide out and when I try to pull it off it won't do that either. Has me stumped. And the radiator has two hoses one lower and one higher. The lower one doesn't give me a whole lot of room to work with. Which is why if I can get the fan thing off I can put the radiator back in and put the lower hose on just fine. The fan not coming off is the first issue. Second issue is just a bad clamp which is an easy fix

Can you lift the radiator and fan assembly out as a unit? Was the picture you sent with the radiator out of the truck? If so, remove the lower hose at the engine and then attach it to the radiator and then connect it to the engine after you drop it back in. Roy

out of the carYeah I dont know why I didn't think of that
Automotive Expert
OK, attach the hose with it out. Then attach the other end when you drop it in. Roy

Yeah will do. I believe I have it from here thank you.
Automotive Expert
LOL, no worries. You are frustrated. Sometimes you have to take a step back and attack from a different angle. Roy

YepThank you

You are welcome Roy
