Q: Q: car cranks but no start

one week ago the car started running rough ,and check engine light came on ,[p0010,p2149,p2146,p0243 and multiple misfires] today the car wont even starts, engine turns over but no start , like if out of gas, i already check for spark and fuses and they ok,any ideas ? *checked the cam follower and is worn bad,i order the part online and put everything back together while i get the part

Hi Ricardo. Thanks for sending in your question. If you’ve received all of these error codes, then there are two possibilities. First, that there are multiple component failures on your VW Passat, or the ECU is damaged in some way, and the root source of the starting and misfiring problems. The codes you listed are related to fuel injectors, the wastegate of the turbo and the camshaft position sensor. So, this would indicate multiple component failures. Before you attempt any repairs or order any other parts, it’s better money spent by having a professional mechanic come to your location to offer a second opinion.
