Q: What if oil is getting in my turbo on 2008 Audi 4

asked by on March 13, 2017

what does it mean if oil is getting into turbo

My car has 10879 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

If you are getting excessive oil inside the turbo on this engine then you need to check the turbo shaft play to see if it moves side to side or up and down indication of worn turbo bearing and possible oil seal damage. The turbo has oil lubricating the turbo bearings and a blown seal will leak oil into the turbo vanes and require the turbo to be rebuilt or replaced.
