Q: Can a used rack and pinion from Cadillac fwd be used on a Grand AM

asked by on

I bought a used rack and pinion from a Cadillac can I use it on my grand am?
My car has an automatic transmission.

You would have to do a lot of measuring to the two different components to see if the racks are the same. Even if the racks are the same, the inner and outer tie rods may be different. If they both have the same part numbers, then they may be from the same base part.
