asked by on

i tried to change my brake light socket and now both of my brake lights dont work and made my stereos light turn off what would be wrong? short circuit?

My car has 138000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Thanks for writing in about your 2006 Mitsubishi Galant. It is possible that there is a short in your electrical system or possibly a bad ground. I suggest having a certified technician, like one from YourMechanic, perform electrical testing to determine the exact cause of your brake light and stereo concern.
