Ok, this light comes on when the transmission control module detects a fault in the transmission system - this may be from a faulty hydraelectronic mechatronic valve body that has the solenoids and switches, an internal fault in the transmission, burnt fluid, low fluid, or other transmission fault. The first step will be having the transmission control module scanned for fault codes to know where the area of concern is.
