Battery and light battery and brake light stay on dash car does not start sometimes

My car has 160000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

The brake light may be on if the voltage is too low and the battery light is on due to the alternator is not charging. You should have the battery and charging system checked to see if you need the alternator replaced.
