Q: 7.3L engine smokes and runs like it has a misfire.
my trucks been running like its had a miss fire for awhile I replaced all fuel lines fuel filter and injectors also glow plugs. I'm getting ready to do the mechanicl fuel pump and the injection pump I'm wanting to get as much advice as I can as this is my first diesel. the trucks smoked white a bit since I got it the truck would run and drive fine but after about 35mph it would shake and sputter id let off the throttle and stomp on it and it ran fine to get me home then after it started smoking a lot worse and sounding and acting like it was cammed doing a lope tone. now itl start and run for about 30 seconds then just die out and be challenging to start again. any ideas on what to check for would be nice
