I loved him, he knew what he was doing, and made sure everything was done correctly, and even put the same exact part in, instead of a different part very helpful, left me with some great tips, and over all an awesome person (he even managed to come early)! I highly recommend him, as well as this conpany

John showed up even earlier than the appointment time, which is always a good thing. He was courteous, professional, and unlike a lot of younger "specialized" mechanics, has a vast knowledge of all automobiles--old and new. As a fellow old-schooler, I can appreciate his experience and expertise in handling situations, even when Murphy's Law--what can go wrong will go wrong--comes into play. I've known younger mechanics who, if something doesn't go "as the manual describes," can't use critical thinking skills to tackle a dilemma. Given that this work was performed in the field instead of a fully equipped repair shop and that the job was done with diligence and excellence, I'd trust his work more than any "millennial" who can only go by the book. Of course, there are certain limitations to what can be done on site. For this, I'd typically give an 8 of 10 likelihood to recommend him to a friend or colleague. But, if the job is within his scope of practice and the requisite tools are accessible, I'd definitely recommend him as a "10" for the appropriate repairs. I believe that yourmechanic.com would not send him (or any other mechanic) to a job for which he is not properly equipped, so that should never be an issue.

I had a great experience with John. He arrived on time and began work immediately. He was friendly and politely communicative the whole time, letting me know what he was looking for and finding. He was honest about what he could and could not do and gave me advice on what type of specialist I should consult.

Answers to common Acura questions

Actuator not opening trunk

Since the trunk lid solenoid is working, it sounds like the latch or actuator needs to be replaced. There are also two ways to open the trunk if the key fob or dash button don't work. Pull the "T" shaped...
Seat heater not working.
Answered by Evan
Having an inoperative heated seat is not out of the ordinary. Most times the heater grid in the seat goes bad. Generally this happens over time just due to the fact that getting in and out of the seat flexes...
Car overheats after replacing radiator
Answered by Rocco
While there could be a few different causes that could lead to a vehicle overheating after a repair, it sounds like your Acura TL may have had an issue where air was left in the cooling system after the radiator...
AC is not blowing cold air

Hi. Generally, a silvery look to the oil indicates metal particles in the oil system. If this occurred when the oil compressor failed and the system was not thoroughly flushed, then the metal particles can wear the pistons and walls...
