Chris arrived early for diagnostic appointment on Sunday, Nov 11, Veteran's Day. He diagnosed a marginal/failing starter within the first 5 minutes of starting his diagnostic. His extensive experience (and a hammer) helped him to go right to the diagnosis that the starter was the problem. Although his service immediately sourced a replacement starter at $439 (part only), Chris did not pressure me to buy it now or from his service. We agreed that I would get the starter and he would install it the next day, I sourced a remanufactured starter for $35 (+tax), for Chris to install the next day.

Chris arrived early, again today (good for me). He went right to work installing the remanufactured starter ($35+tax, PepBoys, Limited Lifetime Warranty) I had bought yesterday, after his accurate 5 minute diagnostic ($80, and well worth it). He did not pressure me to buy now on the $439 starter his service had sourced. This added great trust in his integrity and focus on the customer's (my) problem, instead of his own income. Chris had the starter installed and tested in 20 minutes for $65 additional. He even took the time to listen to the engine and make recommendations on a transient noise he heard in the engine.
