I am very happy with the service Mr. Davila provided. He was very proffessional, polite and very patient with my incesant questions as to what he was doing and what everything was under the hood. He was clearly very knowledgeable about all the issues the car had. I'd had a friend come by earlier in the day work on the car, which ended up solving my issue, but having paid for the diagnosis of all the systems, I opted not to cancel. I am very glad I didn't. I rarely recomend repairmen or technicians, but I will absolutely recommend this service and this technician.

Answers to common Jeep CJ5 questions

Q: Fluctuating oil pressure - 1980 Jeep CJ5
Answered by James
The fluctuating oil pressure indicates an inadequate oil supply (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/oil-level-is-low-inspection) to the oil pump. It is possible that there may be some trash or sludge buildup on the pickup tube screen limiting the oil supply at the oil pump. An...

Hi there. The problem with replacing the rear main oil seal (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/why-crankshaft-seal-replacements-can-be-tricky-by-marvin-sunderland) on a Jeep inline 6 is how delicate the process can be. Most professional mechanics do this job by removing the engine; giving them plenty of clearance so...

Q: 1973 Jeep CJ-5 304 V-8. Vehicle starts right away but dies as soon as the key is released to "run" position.

Hi there. I would assume that your problem is related to the ignition cylinder on the dash. It's possible that either the ignition is damaged, or perhaps a ground wire behind the dash is loose. You should be able to...

Whitney went above and beyond in solving my issues. Extremely friendly and extremely professional! Thanks, Whitney!

I can't say enough about how pleased I am that I found YourMechanic and Raul. I'm from out of town and didn't know who to contact to fix a truck I was borrowing. I searched the web and found YourMechanic.....thank goodness. I found Raul to be professional, an outstanding mechanic and the price was more than fair.

Milton was great! Called to let me know when he'd be arriving. Very friendly & very thorough with his explanations. Took his time to make sure, double, triple check that everything was running properly. Very pleasant experience!
