How to Prepare for the Mississippi Driver’s Written Test

How to Prepare for the Mississippi Driver’s Written Test

There’s nothing like the feeling of being out on the road and behind the wheel. Of course, if you hope to get your driver’s license, the first thing you need to do is to pass the written exam. The state of Mississippi wants to make sure that you have a good understanding of the rules of the road before they grant you a learner’s permit so you can take the road test. While the test itself is quite easy, you do need to study and know the laws and rules if you hope to pass. The following are some great methods of preparing for your exam so you can pass the first time you try.

The driver’s manual

The very first thing you need to do is get a copy of the Mississippi Driver’s Manual, which was developed by the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol. This manual contains all of the information you need in order to pass the test. It covers the road signs, parking laws, traffic laws, and driving safety information that will be on the test. It also has some test questions that you can use for practice once you’ve read the manual. Since the manual is in PDF form, you can download it to your computer, e-reader, tablet device, or your smartphone. This way, you can always have the information to study at your fingertips.

Online tests

While the manual does have some test questions, you need to prepare further. One of the best ways to do this is with online tests for the Mississippi driver’s written test. There are a number of sites that offer these tests, and one of the most popular is DMV Written Test. The site has several practice tests that you can take to help you get ready for the real test. You might want to take one of the tests, see what questions you missed, and then study the manual again. Once you are ready, take another practice test. Do this until you are able to answer all of the questions correctly.

The practice tests include 30 multiple choice questions, and you are required to answer at least 24 of them in order to get a passing score. This is the same as it is when you take the real test. Once you can pass these practice exams, it will provide you with the added confidence you need.

Get an app

In addition, you may want to get an app or two for your smartphone or tablet. The apps have information and practice questions that you can use to help you prepare, and they are available for many different types of devices. Two options to consider include Drivers Ed app and Mississippi DMV Permit Test.

A final tip

Before we go, there’s one final tip that will help you prepare for your test. You will want to take your time with the test and read the questions thoroughly. They aren’t trying to trick you, but you do need to make sure that you read the question properly so you can choose the right answer. Pass your test and have a fun and safe time driving!
